My friends words were like a slap across my face!

by Gina Franklin

Yesterday I had the pleasure of sharing lunch with a treasured friend. Over our time we talked about family, life transitions are taking place, some personal design interests that she and I share. We also talked about our faith. Topics about the 50 shades of grey "crisis", the Isis tragedy, the political and moral corruption that is sweeping through our world, nation, and yes our churches. We joked that we might not have solved all of the worlds problems, but many of them.

During our conversation she mentioned hearing that Israel’s President Reuven Rivlin had issued a call for the Jews around the world to return to Jerusalem with their heads held high, to seek refuge from the rise of anti-Semitism. I had not heard that, until she spoke of that. I googled this topic and sure enough I found several articles on this subject. This is a quote from one articles, " Our land is the only place where the Jewish people have a future. We are here because God gave this land to us as an inheritance. We want Jews around the world to come home with their heads held high, not wrapped in prayer shawls and inside boxes to be buried.

To Jews in France, and everywhere else in the world, the time has come to return home. This is our land. This is our destiny, our hope, and our future. We can’t wait for anti-Semitism to force us to the Holy Land, because by then, it might be too late." (article written by – Ami Farkas)

You might wonder why is she writing this? When my friend said those words it was like she slapped me across my face. Teachings and scripture I have studied for years flashed through my mind. Here are just two prophesies written hundreds of years before now, predicting this moment in time.

Ezekiel 20:34 - "I will bring you from the nations and gather you from the countries where you have been scattered -- with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm and with out-poured wrath."

Isaiah 11:11-12 NIV - "In that day the Lord will reach out his hand a second time to reclaim the remnant that is left of his people from Assyria, from Lower Egypt, from Upper Egypt, from Cush, from Elam, from Babylonia, from Hamath and from the islands of the sea. He will raise a banner for the nations and gather the exiles of Israel; he will assemble the scattered people of Judah from the four quarters of the earth."

As I came home thinking on the clear warning to all mankind that the day draws near for Christs return I knew I needed to speak with my sons and as many people who would listen. Time is short. This is not the time to grow complacent or weary in your faith. You must stay white hot, pursuing the Lord and His will. For many you will blow off this blog post as the ramblings of a fanatic; but for some the scales are coming off your eyes, you are waking up from a deep slumber. There is a sifting happening within the church, this will be a season that will require more than mere attendance and empty words. We must be about the business of God.

1 Thessalonians 4:16-17
"For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever."

1 Corinthians 15:51-52
"Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed— in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed."

Matthew 24:40-41
"Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left. Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left."
